About the Role:

Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a Local Waking Night Carer to assist a woman in Uckfield who has a spinal cord injury following a cycling accident. She lives in a remote home with her partner and son and requires daily and overnight support with respiratory care (Clearway cough assist), catheter management, medication routine, and mobility.

This is a fantastic opportunity to offer support in advanced care under the guidance of our Nurse Practitioner team.

Job Details:

📌 Job Type: Waking night shifts

📅 Shift: 22:00-07:00 - 9hrs

🪙 Pay Rate:

• Nights (any day): £17.70/hr
• Bank Holidays: £26.55/hr and £35.40 on Christmas

📍 Location: Uckfield TN22

🚗 Driver: Essential – since the placement is remote.

With this client, you'll be engaged in 3-4 shifts or more per week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.

What We’re Looking For:
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You don’t need spinal injury experience – just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the client’s lead.

Training & Support:
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Ensure the client's safety.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Notify clients of changes in medications.
• Arrange transportation for client appointments.
