Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a Local Waking Night Carer to assist a woman in Uckfield who has a spinal cord injury following a cycling accident. She lives in a remote home with her partner and son and requires daily and overnight support with respiratory care (Clearway cough assist), catheter management, medication routine, and mobility.

This is a fantastic opportunity to offer support in advanced care under the guidance of our Nurse Practitioner team.

With this client, you'll be engaged in a rota of 3-5 or more shifts a week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.

Job Details

📅 Shift: 22:00-07:00 - 9hrs

💷 £17.70/hr

🚗 Driver: Essential – since the placement is remote.

Role Expectation

• Supporting client during the night
• Assist with CPAP and other equipment
• Monitor comfort and minor repositioning
• Maintaining clear records and ensuring the care plan is followed
• Supporting a calm and positive environment for the client

What We’re Looking For:

A calm, confident support worker with experience in complex care. You must live locally and be able to travel reliably to the client’s home. You’ll need to be flexible, work well independently or alongside others, and bring a steady presence to help maintain a stable care environment. A warm and adaptable approach is key, especially when supporting both the client and his partner.

Training & Support:

We are a specialist provider of complex neurological care and will ensure you are fully briefed and prepared before your first shift. You will also receive ongoing support from our coordination and clinical team.
